CUP WINS SERIES 2-1
On March 6, 2011, The California University of Pennsylvania-I "Vulcans" defeated the Robert Morris University D-III "Colonials" in game three of the CHE Championship Series by the final score of 7-1. The series was forced to game three after RMU defeated CUP-I in game one 7-6 in OT. CUP-I rallied back in game two and beat the Colonials 8-3. This marks an unprecedented 5th-consecutive CHE Championship won by the Vulcans. "Points Leader of the Year Award" winner Ryan Jones (#12-CUP-I) was the recipient of the Jack McKinnon MVP Award for scoring 6 goals and earning 9 points overall for the post season. CHE would like to congratulate California on another terrific season this year and RMU for another hard fought season as well! Both teams, along with Fredonia State-I, went on to participate in the ACHA D-III National Championship in Michigan.
