North Wins 3rd Consecutive All-Star Game by Defeating South 10-1 in the 11th Annual CHE All Star Game
The All Stars of CHE came together at the RMU Island Sports Center for the 2010 CHE All Star Game. The CHE North Division won for the third consecutive season, this time in convincing fashion. Goalie Jeff Frohm (Fredonia State-I) was named the Game’s MVP by stopping all 13 shots he saw in the 2nd period.
The North started off strong, running out to a 4-1 lead in the first period. Jeremy Hill (California of PA-I) scored three minutes into the game. The goal was quickly answered by Michael Puskar (IUP D-II), who notched a Power Play goal two minutes later. The first period ended with goals from Dan Stein (Pitt D-II),Mitch Faust (California of PA-I) and Ryan Jones (California of PA-I).
Julie Horowitz of West Virginia D-II made league history by becoming the first female to play in the CHE All-Star game. After letting in an early 2nd period goal, Julie settled down and stopped the remaining nine shots she saw.
The North came out in a flurry in the 3rd period, scoring five goals, including four in the last eight minutes.
The North won the Skills Competition earlier in the day by the score of 23-5.
